1. GENERAL INFORMATION

1.1 Features of the degree course and professional prospects
The course is composed of a single curriculum and has a duration of 3 years.
Graduates of this degree course will be carrying out professional activities in public administration, in the third sector, in educational institutions, in the system of social and cultural co-operation and in international organisations, both governmental and non-governmental.
In all these sectors, graduates will be able to carry out work activities in the following professional fields:

1. as international operators in the sectors of international co-operation, preventive diplomacy, the prevention, management and mediation of conflict, the planning and management of humanitarian action, the safeguarding of human rights, peace-keeping activities and post war reconciliation and reconstruction promoted by governmental and non-governmental international organisations.
2. as social mediators with particular reference to intercultural conflicts and their impact in urban contexts and on the training and occupational system. The professional opportunities are connected with activities promoted by public administration, educational institutions, courts, trade union organisations, social and cultural co-operation, local authorities and voluntary organisations.
3. as educators, planners and educator-trainers for projects of peace education, human rights,  non-violence and social and intercultural development.
